Some mornings I would rather take photos than go to work. This was one of those mornings. The sunrise was a gorgeous shade of red, which this photo does not do justice. It was taken through a rain-splattered windshield at a four-way stop, so that is a stop-light you see just above center, not the rising sun. Anyway, the photo shooting opportunities are small along the highway I travel and I have to take photos between hills, trees, poles and oncoming traffic. By the time I had another clear view of this beautiful sunrise it was gone. In photography, as with comedy, timing is everything, right?
Too bad the wires on that light are visible. You could have tried to convince people that you'd seen a UFO.
