Blueberry and I went to the park, after leaving day care, again today. This particular park is home to a disc golf course, gazebo, large picnic shelter and a small playground for the kiddos. We went to this park two Wednesdays ago and had an enjoyable time swinging and visiting with a young mom and her daughter who is nearly Blueberry's age. This afternoon, it was just the two of us.
The swing is still foreign to Blueberry and she doesn't feel comfortable or secure in the seat just yet. Her eyes are focused on the ground most of the time. But there were a couple signs of hope today: 1) Rocking back and forth trying to get the danged thing to go when it had slowed down and 2) Pointing at the swing and grunting as we walked by the swing after sitting on the concrete bench for a minute. She giggled a bit when I played peek-a-boo with her and said, "Boo!" as her face was close to mine. It was a fun and I can't wait until she is hollering, "Higher, Gamma, higher!"
